February 2020 in the Crested Butte areas was on fire with a total sales volume of $11,087M. 8 more closings occurred compared to Feb 2019. half, 9 out of 18, sales were under $500,000, and all of these were condos. 3 sales hovered $1M. 4 of the homes, $750,000+ received offers and closed in 65 days or less. The Gunnison area was down in total sales and volume compared to February 2019. 3 our of 4 condos closed at full asking price. Two homes went into escrow and closed in 60 days or less.
The Crested Butte real estate market for March 2020 remained strong, all things considered. Listing inventory increased as well as sales volume in the first quarter 2020 compared to that of 2019. Residential sales volume through February was $20M+, a 30% increase from last year. The number of transactions closed almost doubled in certain areas compared to this time last year.
